Join the Dots perform entertaining storytelling shows as well as delivering drama workshops and tailor-made projects for schools and communities. We are passionate about creating shared experiences to inspire and empower young people to explore, develop and connect.

Join the Dots is run by joint artistic directors Holly Meechan and Emily Jane Grant who between them have a wealth of experience working with children and young people from all backgrounds in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Artistic Directors

Emily Jane Grant

Emily Jane studied first at Middlesex University and then trained as a performer at E.N.S.A.T.T in France. She is a bilingual drama practitioner, performer and director. She has worked for many different companies including Freshwater Theatre, Théâtre Sans Frontières, and leading mask company Trestle Theatre. She also worked as an associate artist for Moonfool Company, delivering workshops in physical theatre and Shakespeare sessions. She performs in both English and French, and specialises in using Drama as a means of exposing students to language. She has also recently obtained a Secondary P.G.C.E in French and Drama.

Holly Meechan

Holly trained in Drama at the University of Exeter where she first established her passion and commitment to Theatre in Education. She is an actor, workshop leader and director and has worked with and performed for children of all ages across the UK, for companies including Freshwater Theatre, Konflux TIE, Bristol Old Vic and Now Press Play. Holly lived in Taiwan for two years where she not only learnt Mandarin Chinese but also devised and directed productions, and regularly used drama and theatre as a tool for teaching English as a foreign language. Holly has also trained as a performer in forum theatre and improvisation.

Associate artists

Aaron Greenwood

Aaron Greenwood is a London based pianist/vocalist who performs with several bands as well as working with children and young people as a piano teacher and vocal coach. He has composed original music for Join the dots’ interactive storytelling shows and is assisting in the development of new youth work.
